Frequently Asked Questions

How can I make an appointment?

You may fill out the contact form on the site. You may also choose to either call 713-929-9950 or email info@guidedgrowththerapypllc.com to setup a time for a 15 minute consultation and/or appointment.

Do you accept insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not accept insurance. However, I can provide you with a superbill upon request, which is the documentation that is required to submit for reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits.

Where are you located?

My office is located on 3100 Weslayan St #368, Houston, TX 77027, USA. I am also available for virtual sessions through a HIPAA compliant platform to clients who reside in Texas.

How long are sessions?

Our initial session will be 60-70 minutes.  During this time, we will collaborate on setting your goals for therapy. Follow up sessions will be slightly shorter at about 50 minutes. During these sessions we will work through your goals and revise them as needed.

Session Costs

Initial sessions – $200.00

Follow up sessions-$185.00

How long will I have to be in therapy to feel better?

This is a bit different person to person and will depend on your goals, current symptoms, and how motivated and present you are in session, in addition to how consistently you are practicing skills outside of therapy. However, research shows that most people experience changes within around 8-10 sessions.

What can I expect from taking part in therapy?

If you have a specific problem you are hoping to address or maybe just want to gain a better awareness of yourself, therapy is a safe, nonjudgmental space where we can process these things together and help you live more authentically.

How are goals defined in Therapy?

Goals of therapy are pretty much whatever YOU decide they are. As long as we are both working toward something healthy and meaningful, I’m on board. I’ve never had two clients with exactly the same goals, and I’m looking forward to learning what yours are. Just a note – I probably won’t be much help with your financial investment strategies… I would say that’s outside my scope of competence

What are some of the common benefits of therapy?

Some of the potential benefits can be gaining a better awareness and understanding of oneself, feeling a greater sense of control in one’s life, recognizing personal strengths and resources, identifying core values, and working toward aligning with them, recognizing and developing skills for coping, understanding relationships and boundaries, and identifying meaning and purpose in one’s journey.

What happens if I am not feeling ok or have an emergency outside of session?

In case of an emergency, you can call any of the following emergency numbers: 911, National Suicide Lifeline 1-800- 273-8255, Harris Center Crisis Unit 713-970-7000 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.

I still have more questions. Is there a way to get my additional questions answered?

Absolutely! You can do this by booking a 15-minute consultation call and I will be more than happy to answer any other questions you may have!

What is the cancellation policy in the event I cannot make my scheduled appointment?

A 24-hour advanced notice is required for cancelled appointments. All voicemails are dated and time stamped.  If your appointment is scheduled for Monday, please leave a voicemail on Friday to confirm your cancellation.

If you do not do so, you will be billed for the full rate of the therapy session. Exceptions for emergency situations that will be considered on an individual basis.
